Mentoring and Monitoring

Mentoring & Monitoring of Elementary Classes and Effective Classroom Observation

The Mentoring and Monitoring of elementary classes is a key academic responsibility of DIET, carried out by its faculty trained by the Educational Technology (ET) Wing of SCERT Gurugram. This initiative focuses on improving classroom practices through structured guidance and evidence-based observation.

DIET faculty regularly visit schools to mentor teachers, support lesson planning, and promote child-centered, activity-based teaching methodologies. Special emphasis is given to the effective use of ICT tools, digital content, and innovative pedagogical strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Classroom observation is conducted using standardized tools and indicators, enabling faculty to assess teaching-learning processes, student participation, and classroom management. Constructive feedback is provided to teachers for continuous improvement.

This systematic approach to mentoring and monitoring ensures quality enhancement in elementary education and fosters a supportive environment for professional growth of teachers.
